Have been using this lens a lot as I shoot a lot of Nature and Landscapes/cloudscapes/sunsets. One day next to a group of photographers, one turned the wrong way and knocked over my tripod+camera. I and everyone else thought the camera AND lens were goners BUT later when I got home, inspected well the damage. Camera okay. Lens okay. Seems camera hit lens first on cement pavement. The filter took the blunt of the impact and crushed filter glass + filter on that one impact point. Continue Reading...
