With iconic style and the latest in wearable tech, you can capture and share your world with photos, a video call or a livestream, listen to your favorite playlist and make a call or text using voice commands—all from your Ray-Ban Meta glasses. 

The Meta View app allows you to view, share, and save the photos and videos you capture from your glasses, customize voice controls, and manage your settings.

What do I need to use my Ray-Ban Meta glasses?

To operate Ray-Ban Meta glasses, you need to connect your glasses with a smart phone and the Meta View app.

Here’s the complete checklist:
  • Smart phone with a recently released operating system: Android 10 and above (with location services enabled) or iPhone 10 or above (running iOS 14.4 and above)  
  • Wireless internet access
  • USB-C charging cable and a plug (if charging from a power outlet and not directly from a USB port)
  • A valid Meta account
  • Meta View app (downloadable from your Apple and Google Play app store). The photos and videos you take on your device will not be uploaded to your social media accounts, text messages or your phone’s photo album without your permission

Do I need to be connected to the internet to use my Ray-Ban Meta glasses?

You can use many of the features whether they're connected to the internet or not. You do, however, need internet connectivity to use Meta AI.

Is the Meta View app required to use Ray-Ban Meta glasses?

Yes. You need to download the Meta View app to begin using the smart features on your glasses, like taking and sharing photos. You can download the Meta View app either from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

What questions can you ask Ray-Ban Meta glasses?

Powered by Meta AI, you can use "Hey Meta" to answer questions in-the-moment, get information, spark creativity and express yourself hands-free, all while also taking photos and videos, calling, messaging, controlling media and volume.

Are Ray-Ban Meta glasses waterproof?

Ray-Ban Meta glasses are water resistant with an IPX4 rating. They are not designed to resist submersion or extended exposure to water or other liquids. In case of water exposure, dry the product thoroughly and clear the charging areas of residue or other debris. 

Keep the charging case away from liquids as it is not water-resistant and exposure to liquids could damage it or other property and lead to injury.

What is the battery life for Ray-Ban Meta glasses?

Your Ray-Ban Meta glasses and charging case have different charge lifecycles.

Glasses
  • Fully charged glasses last up to 4 hours for moderate usage (capturing and syncing up to 100 videos or up to 500 photos per full charge). This may vary with use and other factors.
  • You can fully charge glasses in about 75 minutes in the charging case.
  • You can quickly charge the glasses to 50% in 22 minutes in the charging case.
Charging case 
  • A fully charged case provides up to 32 additional hours of charging for your glasses. The number of hours varies according to how you’re using the features.
  • You can fully charge the case in 3.5 hours using a USB-C cable.
