I bought this lens with my Sony A7rii. Since then I have bought the 16-35 F4, the 24-105 F4 and the 70-300F4. All of these lens take much better photos than the 28-70, however, they are all also quite a bit heavier. I got this lens with my A 7iii camera the lens is a kit lens and for a beginner it does an alright job. I wished it would have been an f4 or the way through but I think it would have been more expensive. Again for someone who is starting photography is a good start lens.... Read More  Hide

The kit lens is low cost and relatively small but it is soft and not adequate to take advantage of the camera sensor.
