I just bought a7 II (grade camera) and few lens plus the Flash HVLF60M but that flash dont work for that camera, yes you can use it but remote control is not working a tween them, the camera are not using this ir light on the flash for measurement distant, instead it use ir light on the camera. Why are Sony recommend this flash for this camera. and when are you coming with new update for this flash so it working 100% for this camera, and one more thing, you can not buy apps for this camera if you are outside US, WHY!!! it is not like you are using those apps outside this camera... The camera works great but I have been unable to contact anyone knowledgeable at Sony despite 4 tries this week. I may have to return the camera until I can get some answers.

I am a professional cameraman and use the A7ii exclusively for video. I just got back from Africa where I used it for the first time. I had no problems with overheating and the ambiant temperature was 43 degres Celcius. The camera didn't turn on a couple of times, with only a partial screen appearing. I had to turn it off and on twice to get the camera to work again. I use Canon lenses with the Metabones adapter. The autofocus is very slow, unusable in video. Peaking does not work, nor does focus magnify. I am very happy with the image quality and colors. I wish all the features worked with Canon lenses as they are better quality than the ones available from Sony. Plus, I would hate to have to change them all! Stabilisation works well for hand-held shots, but it doesn't replace a steadycam device because although you can hold it static and have a reasonably stable image, you can't walk with it. Before this, I had an a7. The Mark II is definitely nice. The autofocus, while improved, isn't something I'd consider a significant betterment of this camera. Still don't like how a lot of its functions, including the EVF, are battery-drainers. In order to get the most out of the batteries, I keep mine in Airport Mode at all times. All-in-all: 8/10.
