Great TV, wish it was DUMBER

The TV, image quality, control over picture, the ability to change things per input, sound, all seem to be amazing.
The worst thing about this TV is the WIFI and GOOGLE. I cannot get the WIFI to work, it just won't. I have reset my TV to get it to work for a few minutes. I've troubleshooted based on many online guides that have had the same issues and the TV won't connect to the internet for more that a few minutes. The fun thing about that, is the SONY PICTURES (BRAVIA) CORE APP, can't work, because the it is impossible to connect the TV to the internet. The next is GOOGLE, I hate smart TVs, but that is the future that we are in. I think I should have a start up screen that asks me inputs and that's it, but for whatever reason, Sony wants to partner with a data-driven selling company GOOGLE. If Sony would care about their consumers more, they would just let go of Google and put better wifi connections in the tv. So, my tv will remain with the WIFI off, and that's the best thing I can do.
