New 6590J TV

March 24, 2021
I love the new 90J but I am disappointed that there is only one remote. A $4,000 TV should come with two remotes so my wife and I can stay married. Please send me a second remote to save my marriage!

Does not support WiFi 6 standard 802.11ax

May 25, 2021
Just this week I came within an inch of shedding $3,800 for a 65” A90J. It is an impressive TV through and through, no doubt. When I asked a salesman at the store if it supported WiFi 6, the salesperson said Yes. Something told me to wait a little so when I came home I looked it up and, sure enough, found out the model does not support WiFi 6. That was a great disappointment as I was ready to bring this beauty home. So I decided to wait until SONY releases a new line of OLED 4k TVs supporting the 6 standard. The question is, when will this be? After all, WiFi 6 has been around for a little while and there is an ever increasing number of consumer electronics, including routers, supporting the standard. For $3,800 I expect no less than latest and best. (And yes, I am aware there is an even more advanced WiFi standard coming up known as 6E. Thus far only two routers support it and no consumer electronics.)... Read More  Hide

Beautiful picture of a trouble with the technology

November 12, 2021
I truly love the quality of the picture on this TV which is why I paid almost $4000 for it. I’ve owned the TV for nine weeks bought it from Best Buy and paid for the extra tech support. In the nine weeks I’ve owned it I’ve had an issue with the TV turning itself off which Best Buy has told me is a Sony software issue and even though I own this high-end tech-support from Best Buy, I’m supposed to have to deal with Sony to fix the software issue. Jump forward four weeks. Now I have a remote control that works sometimes it doesn’t work other times and Best Buy immediately told me I need to call Sony because it’s another software issue. I’m frustrated beyond belief with this and think that I’m caught between Sony product and Best Buy. And of course I am beyond window to be able to return this TV so I don’t know women I guess.... Sony - Update the Remote

February 03, 2022
The TV is nice, but the remote is terrible. It is basically the same remote that came with my first Sony HD TV from 2006. Sony, this is your flagship TV. Please update and simplify the remote for modern usage - where many of us are using streaming services for TV, instead of a cable box. In general, the remote is too long. There are too many buttons and they are too small. The navigation wheel is too subtle - give us larger arrows with a more decisive feel. The numbers at the top are unneeded by most users. The Pause/Play/Fast Forward buttons are tiny - we use this all the time in playing streaming content.... Read More  Hide
